Meet The Team

Voyage of Hope Therapy Services is a children’s counselling provider based in Gwent that provides various therapeutic services, for example, providing one-to-one and group Play Therapy sessions for children, young people and families. We also support carers and professionals with Supervision and Reflective Practice, First Aid for Mental Health courses and bespoke training.

Do you feel overwhelmed by your parenting journey?

Perhaps you’ve tried a dozen different therapists already - but struggled to find someone who understands your family's purpose and divine plans.

Or maybe you’re struggling to trust another professional (because your child doesn't want to leave your side) - but know you can't carry on like this.
I hear you. I see you. I believe you.

I’m a Play Therapist with 17 years’ experience supporting families. Which means I can provide you with options that will help your child feel safe again - so you can focus on being a parent and not a fount of knowledge.

Louise Worrall

Director and Play Therapist

I am a fully qualified member of the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT) having trained to Masters level. My practice is supervised and meets BAPT ethical standards. During my training I received support from the Futures for Women fund, as well as some financial assistance from the University of South Wales Enterprise Fund for new entrepreneurs. I am always interested to hear of funding opportunities in order to provide funded Play Therapy to groups that may find it harder to access.

I have specific experience working with children and young people in loss, mainly in bereavement and through imprisonment of a family member.

Sophie Snow

Administrative Assistant

Hello, my name is Sophie, and I am the Administrative Assistant at Voyage of Hope Therapy Services.

I have been assisting the team for over a year – it’s strange how time flies, right?

I have a bachelors degree in Psychology (BSc) from Swansea University, and I recently completed my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (MSc) from the University of South Wales.

You may see me on the scene, during workshops and training sessions where I may be helping out, gathering social data and being a point of contact.

Camilla Crowter

Freelance Play Therapist

My name is Camilla Crowter and I am a qualified Play and Creative Arts Therapist (PG Dip, PTUK).

I have worked with children and young people for 20 years, in a variety of roles both in the UK and abroad. I qualified as a teacher in 2005 and have more than 15 years’ experience working in primary schools. Whilst working as an Assistant Head of a large inner-city primary school, I recognised the crucial importance of supporting staff to better understand and provide for children’s social and emotional needs. I became increasingly convinced by the potential of Play Therapy to offer healing and hope and, in 2016, took the decision to train as a Play therapist.

I am passionate about offering children the time and space they need to explore difficult emotions and past life experiences so that they can reach greater self-awareness and fully flourish in the future. I work with children and young people aged 4 to 16 years and am proud to be part of the VOHTS team.

Emma Dickson

Freelance Integrative Dance Movement Psychotherapist

Hello, my name is Emma Dickson, and I am a person-centred, Integrative Dance Movement Psychotherapist (RDMP, MA, ADMP UK), Perinatal Mental Wellbeing Practitioner and trainee Sandplay Therapist.

Creativity and movement/dance are important to me in all that I do, and this has seen me teach and support children and young people through dance, well-being, and therapy sessions for over 15 years.

DMP sessions give children and young people space to embody, explore and make sense of their whole self, wider life and personal connections through movement, dance, play and art.

I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental, inclusive space for children and young people to move and work in; whilst being accessible and inclusive to all. I have a vast amount of experience working with those who have various mental health needs, physical and sensory needs as well as supporting those from BAME and LGBTQ+ backgrounds.

I am really excited to be part of the VOHT team and offering DMP sessions to children and young people in Wales.
