I'm Louise Hall

My name’s Louise and I currently have over 10 years experience working with children and young people. After getting my degree, I trained as a teacher and worked teaching creative subjects in a variety of educational establishments. I enjoyed working with the children and young people but could see that learning was only one strand of that environment. I decided to train as a Play Therapist, after discovering what one was, and during my training gained experience in the local authority and third sector. I have specific experience working with children and young people in loss, mainly in bereavement and through imprisonment of a family member. I am a fully qualified member of the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT) having trained to Masters level. My practice is supervised and meets BAPT ethical standards.

During my training I received support from the Futures for Women fund, as well as some financial assistance from the University of South Wales Enterprise Fund for new entrepreneurs. I am always interested to hear of funding opportunities in order to provide funded Play Therapy to groups that may find it harder to access.
